Marshall I. Kornblatt, CSP
Executive Vice President of Insurance Operations

As Executive Vice President of Insurance Operations, Marshall is responsible for overseeing the daily insurance operations of the organization, translating GUARD’s strategic plans into actions designed to accomplish corporate goals. He has direct authority over key disciplines such as sales, underwriting, customer service, premium audit, and claims for both our home and field offices. By successfully coordinating the activities of these core functions (centralizing them whenever possible) and by creating a “customer friendly” culture, he helps maintain the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of our operations.

Marshall's dual background in sales and in information services plus his demonstrated commitment to excellence ideally positions him for this role. As Vice President of Sales and Customer Service, Marshall implemented systems to support and monitor company-wide sales efforts through GUARD's distribution network of independent agents and brokers while ensuring a high level of service. Marshall's sales background is complemented by his computer industry expertise and past experience in managing GUARD's support operations, technology, and management information systems. A few of Marshall's accomplishments include our implementation of a Teleservices Unit and a wide area computer network that links our staff at all local and remote locations.

Before joining GUARD, Marshall was active in direct sales and regional sales management within the computer industry. In 1985, Marshall received the Certified Systems Professional (CSP) designation and, more recently, has been a speaker on the topic of micro networks and downsizing for the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) and the National Association of Independent Insurers (NAII). During his sales career, Marshall was a five-time member of the President's Round Table for Sales Excellence and a two-time member of the President's Honor Roll. Marshall serves on the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCIAA) Marketing Committee and has presented at their Joint Marketing and Underwriting Conference.

A graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has successfully completed a variety of advanced, specialized computer courses. Marshall has earned Series 6 and Series 63 licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD).
