Jeffrey E. Picker, CPA Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Jeff Picker joined GUARD in 1995 and brought over 25 years of experience in corporate accounting and consulting to the group.  In his role as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Jeff oversees accounting and finance, investment, regulatory, and corporate facilities operations and activities.

Before joining GUARD, Jeff was a partner in Arthur Andersen LLP and was the Partner-in-Charge of Andersen’s Enterprise Group in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to this position, he had accumulated more than two decades of experience with another national accounting and consulting firm, specializing in audit work and office management. During this tenure, he held various positions of increasing responsibility, which culminated in eight years as the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Wilkes-Barre office followed by two years as Partner-in-Charge of the Baltimore office. At this time, he also worked with GUARD as a client.

Jeff is an alumnus of Lehigh University, graduating with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting; he later pursued post-graduate studies in finance at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He currently serves as: Treasurer and a director of United Way of Wyoming Valley; Treasurer, Chairman of the Investment Committee, and a director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Wilkes-Barre; and as Treasurer and a director of Newberry Estate Homeowners’ Association.
