BH GUARD Intern Makes Lasting Impression
August 21, 2026The Times Leader recently spotlighted the work of Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Marketing & Communications intern Ava Siergiej.
Ava, a sophomore studying Animation at Rutgers, designed and painted a 7-x-14-foot mural in the lobby of GUARD’s Home Office in Wilkes-Barre, PA, that features the company’s logo and iconic landmarks from the city.
“This initiative created a lot of buzz right from the start,” said Shawn Roguskie, Vice President of Marketing & Communications. “Employees were excited to watch the cityscape come to life, and I love that GUARD’s brand is resonating through the hallways. The fact that one of our summer interns propelled the project makes it even more meaningful.”
Ava’s internship journey is a reminder of the impact motivated and creative young professionals can have when given the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow.
